Poppy Appeal
Dear All
I hope you are keeping well.
It is that time of year again when we begin preparing for this years Poppy Appeal, which will run from 22nd October to 11th November (supermarkets will be from 24th October).
For those who deliver and collect boxes, we are able to deliver school boxes from 1st October. To save you making two trips. I will deliver to the local schools myself. If you could collect the school boxes at the end of the appeal, I would be very grateful. I have added these to your collection lists.
For our supermarket collections, please let me know your availability as soon as possible so that I can prepare the rota.
We are still looking for volunteers for Asda and Tesco Sealand Road. If you would like to try a different venue or take on some additional slots, please get in touch.
I would also like to organise a bucket collection at Chester Football Club. If you would be interested in helping with this, please let me know.
As always, I could not do this role without your support, and I am incredibly grateful for everything you do.
I am delighted to say that last year we increased our total by over £5000, raising £55,000 for our area. This was one of the highest totals in the district and is a fantastic achievement. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication.
If you have any suggestions on how we can improve the appeal, or how I can improve communication with everyone, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
As a small thank you, there will be another afternoon tea, or similar event, at the Royal British Legion early next year.
I look forward to working with you all again and making this years appeal another great success.
Many thanks
Zoe
